Email check

Drop an email file up to 10 MB (.msg or .eml, or a forwarded email without an extension) or paste the raw headers. With headers only, links and attachments are not checked.

What it checks

  • Authentication results: SPF, DKIM and DMARC, as the receiving mail server recorded them in the headers.
  • The sender: the From address compared with the Reply-To address.
  • Links: the address each link points to, next to the text it shows. Links are not opened, so a short link or redirect shows as it is.
  • Attachments: their names and types.
  • The route: the servers the email passed through, read from the Received headers.

It checks the email you drop, not an email attached inside it: save that one on its own and drop it here. It can miss things. Use it as a second pair of eyes, not as a verdict machine.

MailView opens .msg and .eml attachments on Jira work items and Confluence pages and shows this check next to the email.
